Satamaria Airport, next to the Fire Department To / from Puerto Viejo
Limited Liability
The rules and limitations regarding liability are set by the law on the
General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Costa Rica. The Company reserves
the right to cancel or postpone a journey free of liability on its part,
when it must attend preferential obligations, such as the transfer of sick
or injured persons, due to bad weather, or for any other cause for which
it deems the suspension necessary, for passenger safety or to protect the
Company ’s interests. As a consequence, the Company does not assume the
inevitable obligation of transporting the passenger on the precise day
indicated on this ticket for the trip or for a specified flight.
Furthermore, it reserves the right of not accepting passengers that arrive
for the flight in abnormal circumstances that may place the security of
the remainder passengers at risk, or that may cause them any type of
nuisance
Ticket Conditions
Tickets are issued in the name of a specific person and are not
transferable, not endorsable and non-refundable. The carrier may check the
identity of the passenger at any given time. Cancellations are allowed 48
hours before departure time and there is a fee of $15 per change made
(policies applies). Tickets are valid only for the flight / date printed
on the ticket. Accordingly with the rules set by the General Directorate
of Civil Aviation of Costa Rica the company uses a standard weight of 185
pounds per passenger, if the passenger weight is higher than 250 pounds
the passenger will have to make an additional reservation and pay an
additional ticket. (If there is no space on the flight the company will
put the passenger on the next flight available, our will make a full
refund).
Loss of Baggage
The indemnification to be paid by the Company in the case of lost luggage
will not be greater than the corresponding fare for the segment of the
trip where the loss of luggage occurred, unless the Company has been
obligated separately and in writing to a greater indemnification and
charges are paid for it. The company will receive special luggage, such as
fragile and / or delicate articles, without liability for damage,
deterioration, or partial or total loss
Waivers
By the mere fact of using the transportation ticket, the passenger
expressly waives any claim that may arise against the aforementioned
conditions. In the case of ticket loss by the passenger, the company
assumes no liability whatsoever
Reconfirmations
To ensure their return reservations, all passengers must call the
company’s offices at any destination, to reconfirm their flight
reservation at least 24 hours prior to flight departure. The company will
cancel any reservation as a 'no-show', for those passengers that have not
presented themselves at the airport airline counter thirty (30) minutes
prior to flight departure. A picture ID will be required at the carrier’s
airport counter
Luggage Allowances
Maximum luggage allowance is 27 pounds per person including carry-on.
Excess luggage will be charge at $1.00 per pound. The extra luggage is
subject to space . Carrier may refuse bag gages on the basis of excessive
volume or safety reasons. We handle a maximum of two (6,9¨feet) surfboards
per flight and pay $10 each way
Itineraries
Itineraries are subject to change without prior notice to the passengers
and with no responsibility for the carrier. Carrier will not be
responsible for any losses or damages caused by the delay, anticipation,
suspension, or cancellation of any flight due to force majeure, fortuitous
events, adverse weather conditions, mechanical difficulties, or when the
carrier decides so for security reasons or to protect the Company ’s
interests
Baggage Policy
General Information
In an effort to simplify travel for our passengers by improving our
procedures, we’ve designed a new simpler and standardized baggage policy
for all Sansa REGIONAL flights.
Carry-on baggage:
On all routes you are entitled to one piece of carry-on baggage:
Maximum weight: 5 lbs./2.3 kgs
Maximum size: 20 linear inches/50 cm. (length + height + width)
In addition your are permitted to carry with you in the cabin the
following items (restrictions apply):
A lady’s handbag, purse
An umbrella or walking stick
A reasonable amount of reading material for the flight
Infant’s food for consumption in flight
An overcoat, wrap or blanket
A small camera and/or a pair of binoculars
A Laptop computer
You may be required to check-in your carry-on bag in case of limited space
in the passenger cabin. If this happens it is your responsibility to
remove all items not suitable for transportation as checked baggage
Checked baggage free allowance:
1 piece with maximum weight of 22 lbs./10 kgs
Maximum size: 45 linear inches/114 cm. (length + height + width)
Tips:
Pack any valuable articles (money, jewelry, etc.) in your carry-on baggage
Identify your baggage with the free baggage tags available at check-in
counters. Include your name, address and telephone number where you can be
located if necessary
Comply with weight and size limitations to avoid excess baggage charges
Present any damaged baggage claims before leaving the airport. Sansa
REGIONAL is not responsible for minor damage (scratches, dents, wheels,
etc.) caused by normal handling or due to overstuffing a bag

If you choose to check sports equipment as part of your regular baggage
allowance and check another piece as excess baggage, the sports equipment
will be subject to overweight/oversized baggage charges
One of the following sports equipment is permitted per passenger (US
$10 per equipment):
Fishing: 2 fishing rods, 1 pair of boots, 1 net
Golf: 1 golf club bag (up to 62 inches) with up to 14 clubs, 12 golf balls
and 1 pair golf shoes packed in the bag
Bicycle: 1 packed in a suitcase or cardboard box, with pedals removed and
steering wheel parallel to body
Diving: 1 air regulator, 1pair rubber fins, 1 conventional harpoon, 1
diving mask, 1 wet suit, 1 weight belt
Archery: 1 bow plus arrows
Ski: 2 poles, 1pair each of skis, boots, and shoes
Children under three years
General Information
Children under three years of age may travel on an infant fare ticket,
equivalent to 100% discount of adult fare. Due to the reduced fare, infant
tickets do not include a seat assignment, baggage allowance. A collapsible
baby carrier may be allowed in the cabin if space permits, or otherwise
checked as baggage
Infants who require a seat assignment may travel on a adult's fare ticket,
equivalent to 100% of adult fare (restrictions apply). In this case, a
baby carrier may be placed on the seat, except during take-off and
landing, provided that the carrier is securely attached and meets all
airline security requirements
If an adult is traveling with two infants, one of them must travel on a
adult's fare ticket, including a reserved seat assignment, baggage
allowance; the other may travel on an infant fare ticket (restrictions
apply). All infants must have a ticket in order to board the aircraft.
Infants under seven days of age will not be boarded without medical
certification indicating the reason for travel
For the child's comfort, any items that may be needed during the flight
should be included in a carry-on bag. Flight attendants are available to
assist if necessary
Baby articles
Strollers: Must meet size/weight restrictions for carry-on baggage;
otherwise, must be checked as part of baggage allowance or as an extra
piece subject to excess baggage charges
Car seats: Accepted in cabin only for use by infants traveling in paid,
assigned seat Must be FAA (Federal Aviation Association) approved (check
back of the seat); otherwise these must be checked as part of regular
baggage allowance or as an extra piece subject to excess baggage charges
